ΑΦΙΛΑ - ΒΑCIΛI Draped bust of Aphilas to right, wearing tight-fitting head cloth and circular earring; above, pellet in crescent; head and field inlaid in gold. Rev. ΑΦΙΛΑC B-ACIΛЄΥC Draped bust of Aphilas to right, wearing tight-fitting head cloth and circular earring, set within shallow round incuse within circular border; above, pellet in crescent. Numerous cleaning scratches, otherwise, nearly very fine.



This curious piece accidentally has a gilded obverse rather than a gilded reverse, as is the norm.
